HOW OLD ARE THEM?

Construction industries:
Construction industries are very wide. Anyone can access the construction industry prospect. Public and private sector are including JKR and Construction Company around Malaysia. So, there is no specific range of age. The common age that involved in this part is about 18 years old and above.

Education institutions:
Education institutions are divided to two parts which are public sector and private sector. Public sector is focusing on technical schools and IPTA while private sector is focusing on form 4 and form 5 at private schools and IPTS. The target group is also including their teachers and lecturers. So, the target age is in range 16 to 25 years old for students and 20 years old and above for teachers and lecturers.

WHAT GENDER ARE THEM?

Construction industries:
Usually, there are no limit genders to involve in this industry. Anyone can work in construction industry either male or female. However, in construction site, male always be a priority. The labors, supervisors and site engineers are commonly a male.

Education institutions:
Students, teachers and lecturers can be a male or female. There is no specific gender in using tools in laboratory or wearing safety attire when conducting the work.

WHERE DO THEY LIVE?

There are two types of sector in this market which is public and private sector. They live at the urban and rural area. In the urban area, most of them stand up from big company of construction, IPTS, construction organization and department like JKR. At the same time, for rural area consist of education centre such as technical school and universities especially public universities (IPTA).

WHAT MOTIVATES THEM?

They holds the ‘safety first’ principle so that their safety under controlled and ensure they should have a protection while doing the work. Besides, safety is the important element in their organization rules to get the international standard quality according to the act, (Occupational, Safety and Health Act).

WHAT IS THEIR INCOME?

Construction Industries:

Upper level
This level is including engineers, project managers, contractors, surveyors and architects. All of them commonly are a professional and their income usually high. The range of their income is RM 2000 and above.

Lower level

This level is including labors and workers. All of them commonly are not professional and their income usually moderate. The range of their income is RM 300 RM 1000.

Education Institutions:

The target group in education institutions is divided into two parts which are students and teachers also lecturers. Students usually don’t have a specific income. For students from schools, their income is provided by their parents or from scholarship. Their income is about RM 50 to RM 500. The income for students from IPTA or IPTS is usually from PTPTN or scholarship. Their income is about RM 2000 to RM 5000 every semester. The income for teachers and lecturers are in range RM 1500 to RM 5000 per month.

WHAT THE BENEFITS THEY GET?

By follow the international standard, safety as the important element in the industry, they will accepted by any parties either the customer or communities in running their business because they keep the charity of the customers and gives the best services to them.

WHAT IS THEIR JOB?

Our target market can be divided into two categories. The first category is construction industry and the second category is educational institution. Construction industry consist of engineer, safety officer, labor and so on. Besides, student, teacher and lecturer are categorized under educational institution.

The job of our customer will influence the demand of our product. Normally, each construction industry needs to follow the rule that compulsory for them to do their work. The wearing of safety attire is one of the compulsory rules. Same as in educational institution, student also needs to wear safety attire to perform the experiment in laboratory. However, schools always provide student with the safety attire and they just use them. In high level education institution such as university they need to buy those kind of attire themselves.

The use of tools is different with safety attire. It is not compulsory but they need the tools to perform the laboratory test. The laboratory test is one of their curriculums that contribute to their performance.

THE SIZE OF OUR TARGET MARKET

Construction Industries:
The construction industries grow faster day by day. There are so many new project come up which is need tools and safety attire. This situation makes the demand for tools and safety attire increase. According to Gross Domestic Product Year 2007 construction industry contribute 3% from the overall. The percentage is quite small but we can make profit because our product is high demand.

Education Institutions:
There are many educational institutions in Malaysia such as boarding school, technical school, Islamic school, IPTA and IPTS. All of the educational institution use tools and safety attire to do experiment in the laboratory. The big numbers of educational institution in Malaysia make our size of target market large as well as increase our profit.
